Hudson Weight Loss – 10 Good Practices To Losing Weight, Part 2
Welcome to the Part 2 of our 10 Good Practices To Losing Weight series where our Hudson Weight Loss specialist explains simple habits to make your losing weight efforts a lot easier.(part one available here) Here are another 5 everyday habits that will help you on your journey to achieving your ideal weight:
6. Exclude soda and other sugary beverages from your diet
Honestly, this is the kind of empty calories you want to avoid at all costs. Did you know that an innocent looking can of soda can consist of as many as 12 teaspoons of sugar?! Think of it that way – would you rather drink a can of coke that you won’t even remember having after a while or eat a kilo of strawberries that will keep you satisfied for a long time?
7. Include fiber in your diet
Fiber is your best friend on your journey to shedding those extra few pounds. It not only stimulates the digestive processes (and hence make you lose weight faster) but it also keeps you feel full so you don’t feel tempted to binge on something unhealthy. The best sources of fiber are vegetables, beans and whole grain bread.
8. Switch up proportions on your plate
If you look at your average lunch plate you will find that most of it is filled with meat and sources of carbs, like potatoes, rice or pasta. You can probably hardly spot any vegetables in that pile of food. That’s the common mistake most people struggling with extra weight make. Try to switch the proportions and fill your plate with veggies and lean protein instead. They should take up at least ½ of your meal.
9. Enjoy the process
According to our Hudson Weight Loss specialist, most people fail at their attempts to lose weight because their attitude is wrong from the very beginning of their journey. Please know that if you perceive eating healthy as an ordeal you must endure in order to feel better, you will end up resenting it and giving it up altogether. Find ways to make your new healthy lifestyle as enjoyable as possible and choose healthier options whenever possible.
10. Don’t do it alone
Proper guidance and support on your weight loss journey can make all the difference. We often fail because we lack knowledge or are overwhelmed with all the information that is out there.
